Welcome to Indian Skill League (“ISL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Indian Skill League website, tournament pages, registration forms, communication channels, and all related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing, browsing, registering on, or participating through the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms, along with any tournament-specific rules, guidelines, or instructions published by us from time to time.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

1. Nature of the Platform

Indian Skill League is a skill-based competition platform designed to organise, host, promote, and administer structured tournaments, leagues, and competitive events across various formats, including but not limited to esports, chess, quizzes, and other lawful skill-based competitions.

The Platform operates as a brand and competition interface. Certain operational, administrative, technical, or payment-related functions may be carried out through third-party service providers or organising entities, as may be disclosed from time to time.

2. Eligibility

You may participate only if:

1. you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law;

2. you meet the eligibility criteria specified for the relevant tournament;

3. all information submitted by you is accurate and complete;

4. your participation is not restricted under any applicable law; and

5. you comply with these Terms and all tournament-specific rules.

Where participation is team-based, the registering individual confirms authority to represent and bind all team members.

3. Skill-Based Nature

All competitions conducted under Indian Skill League are intended to be skill-based.

Outcomes, rankings, and progression are determined strictly based on performance and rules defined for each tournament. No outcome is guaranteed.

Participation does not create any vested right to prizes or advancement except in accordance with applicable rules.

4. Tournament-Specific Rules

Each tournament may have separate rules governing:

• eligibility

• format and structure

• scoring and progression

• team requirements

• timelines

• prize structure

• disqualification conditions

Such rules shall form part of these Terms and shall prevail in case of any conflict for that specific tournament.

5. Registration and Information Accuracy

Participants must provide true, complete, and current information.

Indian Skill League reserves the right to:

• verify submitted information

• reject or cancel registrations

• request additional documentation

Any false, misleading, duplicate, or fraudulent registration may lead to immediate disqualification.

6. Player Identification System

To maintain integrity and continuity across tournaments, Indian Skill League may assign a unique Player ID to each participant.

This Player ID may be used for:

• identifying participants across tournaments;

• maintaining participation history and records;

• linking team entries and results;

• enabling future features such as rankings, rewards, or benefits; and

• preventing duplicate or fraudulent entries.

Participants agree to:

1. use their assigned Player ID consistently where required;

2. not misuse, duplicate, or manipulate Player IDs; and

3. accept that ISL may modify, merge, or deactivate Player IDs for administrative or integrity purposes.

The Player ID system may evolve over time.

7. Entry Fees and Payments

Certain tournaments may require payment of a participation or registration fee.

You acknowledge that:

1. registration is not complete until payment is successfully received and verified;

2. payment may be processed via third-party gateways or organising entities;

3. you are responsible for correct and timely payment; and

4. ISL is not liable for failed, delayed, or incorrect transactions.

8. Refunds and Cancellations

Unless explicitly stated otherwise:

All registration fees are non-refundable once a slot is reserved or confirmed.

ISL reserves the right to:

• reschedule or cancel tournaments;

• modify participation;

• issue refunds at its sole discretion where necessary.

9. Code of Conduct and Fair Play

Participants shall not:

• cheat or use unfair means;

• use hacks, bots, scripts, or unauthorised tools;

• collude with others;

• provide false information;

• abuse or harass others;

• disrupt tournament integrity; or

• engage in fraudulent payment conduct.

Violation may result in disqualification and restriction from future participation.

10. Monitoring and Disqualification

ISL reserves full authority to:

• review gameplay and conduct;

• investigate irregularities;

• disqualify participants;

• revise results;

• withhold prizes;

• restrict access to the Platform.

All decisions of ISL shall be final and binding.

11. Prizes and Rewards

Prizes are subject to:

• rule compliance;

• verification;

• fair-play checks;

• identity validation.

ISL reserves the right to:

• withhold or cancel prizes;

• modify prize structures;

• delay distribution where required.

Participants are responsible for any applicable taxes.

12. Communications

Participants agree to receive communications via:

• email

• phone

• SMS

• WhatsApp

• other digital channels

regarding tournaments, updates, and participation.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including branding, design, and materials, belongs to Indian Skill League and may not be used without permission.

14. Third-Party Services

The Platform may involve third-party services (including payment processors). ISL is not responsible for their operations or policies.

15. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided on an “as is” basis.

ISL does not guarantee:

• uninterrupted access;

• error-free operation;

• fixed tournament outcomes; or

• uninterrupted services.

16. Limitation of Liability

ISL shall not be liable for:

• loss of participation opportunity;

• payment issues;

• technical failures;

• disqualification;

• indirect or consequential damages.

Liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by the participant.

17. Indemnity

Participants agree to indemnify ISL against any claims arising from misuse of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

18. Suspension and Termination

ISL may suspend or terminate participation or access at its sole discretion without prior notice.

19. Modifications

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.

All disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
